So what did you add to your life list for 2011?
I've always wanted to take a real Yoga class at a real Yoga studio and there just so happens to be one near our new house! YAY! I decided this will be yet another way to change the negative energy in 2010 into positive energy for 2011. Class is from 7:45-8:45pm which sounds like the perfect way to end the day if you ask me. I didn't go crazy, it's been a long time since I've done yoga so I figured Prana Flow was a good place to start.
Um what's Yoga Prana Flow?
Yoga Prana Flow moves through poses and sequences that unfold in an inherent harmony and body intelligence. The arrangement of movement is linked to the breath creating a coordinated and complementary mind/body experience that awakens the prana (life force) within. It is intended for students who are already familiar with most of the asanas and principles of alignment, and who wish to build stamina and endurance with their yoga practice.
Sounds fun right? Ok well it does to me! :) And I'm excited!
Hmmm, what else have we been up to? Ah yes, the search for a Pre-school for Reese. She's in daycare now but I really want something more structured and somewhere she can meet more little friends. We got a recommendation for a place called Murrieta Ranch and ZOMG! it is SOOOOO cute!
The campus has 4 different "themed" playgrounds that the children rotate through. There's a "train yard", "castle", "fort" and the "wild wild west" playground. Two of the toddler rooms have tree house looking lofts for the kids to climb up and read books in. The children already enrolled looked so happy and were having a ton of fun playing with shaving cream and giggling away. If all that wasn't enough, they also have a mini petting zoo on-site and the kids learn how to take care of the animals by feeding them and giving them water everyday. There's sheep, goats, chickens, a pony, ducks and a fun parrot that waves and talks to the kids and welcomes them in the morning when they arrive. LOVE!! On our visit Reese was completely obsessed with the parrot, she got so distracted that she left her beloved "Bells" doggie (her favorite) behind when we left and guess who had to go all the way back to get her? Mommy to the rescue!
Here's Mr. Parrot waving "Hi!"
The choo choo train we couldn't get Reese to leave

I figured there was no way we could afford this place but if I cut out a few lattes and switch some other priorities I think we can. YAY x 2! I was ready to sign her up the moment we walked in...but then came the fine print!
#1 this place has very low turnover (not surprising) and there's a waiting list. Boooo!
#2 Reese has to be fully potty trained (we're close but not there quite yet)
#3 Minimum age is 3 (her Birthday is in 6 months!)
We immediately put her on the waitlist and crossed our fingers we get a call for the next school year which just so happens to be her Birthday month. I REALLY want her to go here. This is so different from any other Preschool we visited. It's perfect. Everyone out there please cross your fingers she clears the waitlist!!
In other news, Tom *may* have found a softball team. He's playing in a tournament this weekend and hopefully will meet some new friends.
I joined a "Hip Mamas" club but haven't been to an event yet because most of them are scheduled while I am working and Reese is at daycare Boo! Hopefully one of the playdates will work with our schedule soon. It's time to venture outside the house.... :)
